Facebook CEO's sister writes 'ironical' children's book on need to stop tech addiction

Washington, Oct. 19 (ANI): Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's sister Randi Zuckerberg has reportedly written a children's book titled 'Dot' in which she gives the message about the need to stop being addicted to the digital technology and enjoy the real life.

In what appears to be an awkwardly ironical incidence, the book comes from the sibling of someone who is apparently part of the digital addiction many adults and kids face today.

According to the ABC News, the book talks about a tech-savvy girl that is reminded to stop and smell the roses every now and then.

Zuckerberg describes the protagonist of the book as being obsessed with her devices, but with a little push she's reminded that life's a little bit richer when you look up from the screen.

The author further reveals in her blog that as she watches her two-year-old beginning to discover technology, she feels certain that it is an important message to share with a younger audience about the need to stop being so addicted to technology.

The report said that Zuckerberg has also written a nonfiction book called 'Dot Complicated' for adults, in which she describes her experiences as a former employee of Facebook, as the founder of Zuckerberg Media and as a mother.

Both the books 'Dot' and 'Dot Complicated' will be in stores on November 5 and their e-version will also be available on Amazon's Kindle and Barnes and Noble's Nook. (ANI)
