Anna Hazare arrives at Gandhi Maidan for Jantantra Rally

Anna Hazare has arrived at Gandhi Maidan, Patna to start his second phase of nation wide rally, which he has named "Jantantra Rally".

Former Army Chief Gen. (Retd.) V.K. Singh already arrived here, early in the morning to be part of this rally. Anna's supporters have also gathered in huge number to show their support in fighting against corruption.

This is the third time Bihar is witnessing a mass rally to fight against corruption and problems in India. First it was Mahatma Gandhi who began his movement against British from here then it was Jai Prakash Narayan who revolted against Indira Gandhi's Emergency rule in the 1970s. And now it is social activist Anna Hazare who is fighting against corruption spreading in India.

To prove the point that this rally is the unfinished work of JP, Anna even stayed at his JP's house at Kadamkuan in Patna.

Jantantra Rally is being organized to fight against corruption and to bring Jan Lokpal Bill that can stop it.

Anna has said, "Since last one and half year, we are launching continues protest for bringing strong Jan Lokpal bill, if Congress was serious over the issue, we didn't need to do several anti-government movements".

Anna also said that he is not satisfied with the assurances that UPA leader Sonia Gandhi has given about the passing of the bill in this Budget session.

Recently, I received the letter from Sonia Gandhi, which assured that the Lokpal Bill would be passed, but they have been giving these assurances from last two years and are cheating us. If they were willing to bring the Lokpal Bill, then it does not take two years for that," he added.

Anna announced a year back that he would start a nation wide rally from 30 January 2013. Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was killed on January 30, 1948.
