Brad Pitt is likely to play Paddy Doherty in a movie that is based on the life of the bare-knuckle fighter.
Doherty, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner has just released his autobiography, 'Hard Knocks And Soft Spots'. And talks are underway for its adaptation.
The 48 year old actor, who essayed the character of prize-fighting gypsy Mickey O'Neil in the 2000 Guy Ritchie film 'Snatch', is reportedly in talks for the role in this movie.
"It's a fascinating story and will translate really well into a film," a source has been quoted saying in the Daily Star.
"Paddy knows that Brad Pitt is interested after playing a traveler in Snatch.
"My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is shown in the US and Brad has seen it.
"Paddy would love Brad to play him in a Hollywood film. It could well catapult him into a global superstar," the source said further.
In his autobiography the 53-year-old TV personality writes: "I've cheated death many times."
Doherty, who had an ear bitten off in a street fight with rival gypsies, has given several unpleasant details of his life.
"Blood would flow freely and bones would get broken," he has been quoted as saying.
