Britney Spears' father wants to make her fiance co-conservator

A recent report says that Britney Spears' father Jamie is filling e a petition in court to add the singer's fianc, Jason Trawick, as a co-conservator over her.

As per a report published in the People magazine Trawick will only have shared legal control over Spears' general well being and it does not include her finances.

Normally, a conservator can decide over a person's food, clothing and medical care. But the 30 year old has plenty of personal freedom and the conservatorship is nothing more than a formality, another source says.

"This is a very unusual situation, because generally you don't see conservatees get married," said Jeffrey S Cohen, an LA probate attorney who is not concerned with the case.

"This could be a sign that the couple's wedding is around the corner.

"This is probably a compromise between Britney, her father and Trawick to get the marriage off on the right foot. Obviously, her future husband needs to have a say in her well being," he stated.

Jamie Spears exercises a legal control over his daughter and her multimillion-dollar fortune since February 2008 after spear faced with a psychological breakdown.

The conservatorship will be annulled only after a judge is convinced, on the advice of the pop star's doctors, that Spears is healthy enough to look after her own affairs.
