Delhi Daredevil's bowlers stole 1 run victory from Rajasthan Royals

During the chase of 152 put up by Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals were always the favorite to win and a 99 run partnership for first wicket made it look more real. Ajinkya Rahane again played a gem of an innings and tried his best to win the match for his team. He made 84 runs but his inning went in vain.

But it was the courage and determination of Daredevils bowler, especially the in-form Morne Morkel who bowled stupendously. Delhi were easily cruising towards victory and needed only 15 runs to win with two overs left. Morne bowled the penultimate over gave only 3 runs and took the wicket of Brad Hodge that added the pressure on Rahane and Owaish Shah. They needed 12 runs in last over and it was bowled by Umesh Yadav, he gave 10 runs in first five balls and 2 were required in the last ball. But Owaish missed the yorker and was run out taking by.

It was 39th match of IPL and Delhi Daredevils marked a 1 run victory over Rajasthan Royals. Daredevils are on top the points table with 14 points while Rajasthan are at 6th.

Virender Shewag received the man of the match award for his blistering innings of 63 in 39 balls in which he hit 8 sixes and 2 fours.
