MCD:BJP retains Delhi, demands Sheila resignation

New Delhi, Tue, 17 Apr 2012 NI Wire

Clinching trifurcated corporations and retaining its power in the MCD, now BJP has demanded for resignation of chife minister Sheila Dikshit on the moral ground. Party president Vifender Gupta has said that the credit for victory in the Corporation elections goes to all the people of Delhi and the BJP workers and added that the results are mandate against the Congress misrule. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit should accept moral responsibility for this defeat and resign immediately.

Shri Vijender Gupta said that BJP has been claiming from the very beginning that the election to the MCD will prove to be plebiscite against the Congress misrule, corruption, price spiral and anti people policies. The way, in which the voters of Delhi expressed their acrimony against the Congress Party in all the three Corporations, the claim of BJP has proved to be true.

After UP, Punjab, Goa, Maharashtra Corporation elections, the MCD elections have shown the Congress the place where it stands. This Party has lost its moral and democratic rights to continue in power.

Prof. Malhotra told that the MCD elections are very important because Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had taken over the control of election campaign of the Congress Party. She should also take the responsibility of defeat in the last Corporation elections also and resign from her post in accordance with the democratic tradition and political propriety. He told that if elections are held for the Legislative Assembly today then Congress will be routed.

Now the two crore people of Delhi are not ready to tolerate the misgovernance, corruption of the Congress, price spiral and failed law & order due to Congress rule. The people of Delhi have given clear indications by making the BJP victorious in the three Corporations. Delhi has given indications of the mood of the country before the Congress.
