Kings XI Punjab marked a comfortable win over Pune warriors

In a low scoring match Kings XI Punjab came out victorious and took the revenge from Pune warriors. Kings XI Punjab won the match by 7 wickets with 14 balls remaining in the 14th match played in PCA Stadium of Mohali.

In their previous meet Pune defeated Kings by 22 runs but this time Gilchrist squad turned the table around.

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and decided to field and all their bowlers Praveen, Awana, Chawla and Maschrenas proved their captains decision right by restricting Pune at 115 runs.

AD Mascarenas was declared man of the match for his spectacular performance with ball. He took 5 wickets giving away just 25 runs in his 4 overs.

With Valthaty departing at the very first ball, it was Shaun Marsh who by making an unbeaten 64 runs helped Punjab achieve the score in 17.4 runs.

It is the first win of Kings XI Punjab in IPL 5 and first loss of Pune Warriors. Punjab has marked their first win over Pune in all their 5 encounters in IPL.
