Yeddyurappa to meet central leadership to resolve crisis

Bangalore, Wed, 21 Mar 2012 NI Wire

Former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa is expected to come to Delhi for the discussion of ongoing crisis in Karnataka government. It is expected that Yeddydurappa will discuss the issue with the central leadership for the continuation of the govt. for the budget session.

The move is being seen as an attempt to resolve the ongoing tussle between the Yeddyruppa and central leadership in which he is demanding for the post of C.M. for himself. It has been reported that he has kept maximum M.L.A in a resort in the city and present C.M Sadanand has been feeling uncomfortable in ruling the BJP led government. Absence of MLA has created a problem for current CM, as he has to produce budget in the session. Sources said that BJP central leadership has promised to depute an emissary to resolve the issued after the budget session.

It is noted that the BJP central leadership had forced Yeddyurappa to quit in July 2011 after he was indicted by the Lokayukta report on illegal mining. Former Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde's inquiry into mining graft in Karnataka had accused Yeddyurappa and other key officials for causing a loss of at least 160 billion rupees to the state exchequer between 2006 and 2010.
