A special CBI Court at Patiyala House in Delhi is likely to pronounce its judgement over the plea filled by Janta Party leader Subramaniyam Swamy today at 12:30 p.m.

Subramanium Swamy last year has filled a case against the erstwhile Finance Minister and Current Home Minister P Chidambaram seeking to probe the alleged role of P Chidambaram in 2G Spectrum allocation scam and in offloading the shares of Swan and Unitech telecom players.

Informing to media Swamy said, "I have been asked to be present in court before 12:30 pm."

"I am confident that the judgement will be delivered today," he added.

Earlier in a major breakthrough the Supreme Court of India on Thursday has delivered its verdict on 2G Spectrum Scam citing that the process of issuing licence to twelve telecom company was dodgy and 'the Department of Telecom (DoT) had virtually gifted an important national asset at throw away prices.'

The apex court has cancelled all the 122 Unified Access Service (UAS) licence issued on January 2008. The court however did not make any comments over the role of P Chidambaram nor directed to lower court. Kicking the ball in the lower court, SC stated the CBI trial Court would decided whether P Chidambaram is made co-accused with A Raja, the erstwhile Telecom Minister or not.

The Janta Party leader in a filled litigation has accused P Chidambaram to play an equal role in alleged illegal distributing the valuable 2G Spectrum allocation and telecom licence to the private telecom companies at throw away prices and hitting hard to government's exchequer.

Swamy argues that without the consent of Finance Minister, it was not possible to then Telecom Minister to allocate 2G spectrum and offload the shares of Swan telecom to Etisalat and Unitech to Telenor.

The Special Judge Justice O P Saini on 21st January had reserved the order for 4thFebruary on the plea of Dr. Swamy.
