Akshay Kumar is back as Khiladi with the release of his recent Khiladi series "Khiladi 786' this Friday. Directed by Directed by Ashish R Mohan, Khiladi 786 stars Akshay Kumar, Asin, Raj Babbar, Mithun Chakraborty in the lead roles.
Khiladi 786 is basically an action comedy with lots of indigestive action and unfunny comedy. The story takes you the Punjabi family with members Akshay (Bahattar Singh), his father Sattar Singh (Raj Babbar), Ekhattar Singh (Mukesh Rishi) and an African mother.
Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya) is a professional matchmaker carrying the professional legacy of his father Champaklal (Manoj Joshi) and is a complete looser with no successful match making in his hands. Mansukh was thrown outside the house by his father following his regular failure.
Mansukh now decides to regain his dignity by making at least one successful match and tries his hands to arrange the marriage of Bahattar Singh and gangster Tatya Tukaram (TT) Tendulkar (Mithun Chakraborty)'s sister Indu (Asin). The movie is then followed by lots of drama, lies, twists and turns.
Directed by Ashish R Mohan has managed to give an impressive entry to Khiladi Akshay kumar but fails to carry out the pace of film due to lack of good script.
The expectations were high from Akki but he fails to impress for the first time as Khiladi. Asin no doubt looks stunning but has nothing promising to do in the film.
But the surprise package of the movie is Himesh Reshammiya who will certainly impress you with some of his comic timing and always saying: "Mere papa kehte hain ki shaadi-byaah ke maamle mein, aatein mein namak jitna jhoot chalta hai!". Muthon as a don looks ordinary.
Overall, the film is just another ordinary film with no such appealing thing that can make it a must watch movie of Khiladi series as expected.
