London, December 28 (ANI): Birmingham council chiefs are considering following in the footsteps of Liverpool and Belfast airports by honouring a hometown star.
If the idea to rename a city airport after one local hero takes off, Birmingham could be called after Black Sabbath's legendary frontman Ozzy Osbourne, the Mirror reported.
Jim Simpson, the record company boss who discovered the heavy metal band, has backed the plans and said that the move would be a masterstroke that would instantly confound the cynics.
He added that although Ozzy might not always have been a paragon of virtue, he is a genuine, flesh and blood Brummie. (ANI)
