Pre Review:
If one talks only about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey then the film is superb with 3D effects and being shot in 48 Frame Per Second. The story keeps you abide till the end. However, when you compare it to Lord of the Rings it lacks just a little and 3 hours are a stretch.
Martin Freeman has acted terrifically. His impish charm, deft acting and comedy timing is perfect. Peter Jackson after watching Freeman playing Dr. Watson in Sherlock decided to cast him as Bilbo and his decision was right.
McKellen who plays Gandalf is as fantastic as before. 13 Dwarves and all other characters have played their part superbly.
The cinematography is amazing. It is as if the characters, places, animals and every single thing that surrounds, has been brought to life from the book. Serious attention has been given to every minute detail.
So if you are looking for a 3D adventure this Friday, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is just perfect.
