Skyfall has broken the box office of United Kingdom by collecting the most money in its opening week than any other film in the history of UK cinema.
Skyfall, which released in UK on 26 October 2012 has collected 37.2 million pounds overtaking the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 collection of 35.7 million pounds.
The new James Bond movie, which stars Daniel Craig as England spy for the 3rd time is received with a positive review.
It is the 23rd Bond movie in the franchise's 50-year history.
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli Producers of the movie said, "We are very grateful to the Bond fans and all UK cinema audiences for making Skyfall the biggest opening week ever during our 50th anniversary year".
Jeff Blake, Chairman of Sony Pictures who distributed the film said, "We couldn't be more proud of the critical and commercial reaction Skyfall has received. The results are a true testament to the 50 year legacy of James Bond."
Skyfall will release in US on 9 November 2012.
