Nawab Saif Ali Khan's ancestral palace in Pataudi is being renovated ahead of his wedding with Kareena on October 16.
Presently it runs as a hotel but has put bookings on hold till Oct 25 for renovation. It is managed by Neemrana Hotels.
Saif's mother, Sharmila Tagore has been visiting the mansion regularly for the last one month.
"We don't know what will be the role of the palace in the marriage but renovation is being done," a palace employee said.
Saif's father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who died in New Delhi Sep 22 last year, and his forefathers are buried in the palace compound.
On Pataudi's first death anniversary, Tagore told reporters that her son's wedding would be held in Mumbai and the reception in Delhi. She did not mention Pataudi Palace as a possible venue.
"According to my knowledge, it is routine renovation. I do not know more than that," Neeraj Jain, manager of Pataudi Palace-Neemrana Hotels said.
