Late Yash Chopra's last directorial venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', which is to be released this Diwali on November 13 will witness a grand premiere as a tribute to the legendary filmmaker. The premiere of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' ha been scheduled on November 12.
"I want to give my husband an unforgettable farewell. Accordingly, we have decided to have a grand premiere for his ultimate film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', exactly the way he wanted it," Yash Chopra's wife Pam Chopra said in a statement.
"This is a fitting tribute to a man who would have had it no other way. I have asked my sons Aditya and Uday to go ahead with all the preparations. This premiere is our way of celebrating his illustrious life, rather than mourning it," she added.
Chopra took his last breath on October 21 at the age of 80 following multiple organ failure at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.
The veteran filmmaker had announced his retirement from film direction last month after directing his last film as "Jab Tak Hai Jann" starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma that is to be released this Diwali on November 13.
