UPSC SCRA 2013 notification released: See the details

UPSC SCRA 2013 notification has been released. The examination for SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices) will be held on 20^th January 2013 at the various centers across the country.

Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) of mechanical department of Indian Railways is highly coveted among the candidates who wish to join the Indian Railway as a mechanical engineer.

Educational Qualification

Minimum educational qualification for the SCAR Examination as per notification is intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination.

Age Limit:

As SCRA 2013 notification reads that the minimum age is 17 years but the candidates must not have attained the age of 21 years. The age relaxation is applicable according to the norms.

Exam Fee:

The examination fee is Rs100 (Hundred) but Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fees

Last Date:

As per SCRA notification given by Union Public Service Commission the candidates can submit their application upto 12th November, 2012 till 11.59 P.M.

Scheme of Examination

There will be three papers for examination. Each paper carry is of 2 hours duration and each paper carries 200 marks. First paper is of General Ability Test and second paper is of Physical Sciences while third paper is of Mathematics.

Those who will clear the SCRA written exam will appear for personality test that carries 200 marks.
