"Story of Aiyyaa is this - a girl's parents are forcing her to get married, meanwhile she falls in love with a boy. That's it. However, the movie has some good movements and raunchy songs."
Story:
Meenakshi is a middle-class Maharashtrian girl who wanted to be an actress but has to settle down with a job in an art college. She always keeps dreaming and lives in fairy tale world.
She lives with her family that has a chain-smoking dad, an overzealous mom, a dog-loving bro and a wheelchair-bound grandma with a set of golden teeth. Her mother keeps forcing her to get married.
At the library she has a co-worker Maina who is a die-hard fan of Lady Gaga who lusts for John Abraham. Madhav Rajadhyaksha the boy Meenaxi's family chooses for her.
It's here she meet Surya, a Tamil student at the art college who has a pleasant smell. He is moody, has eccentric nature and blood shot eyes.
With the parents forcing her to get married on the one side and her one sided love interest whom she thinks like a South Indian superstar, on the other, who will Meenakshi end up with? To know go watch Aiyyaa.
Review:
Sachin Kundalkar who won the national award for his film Gandha has tried hard but somewhat failed in telling a Bollywood masala story.
Rani as a good actress has pulled out the role of Meenakshi but with her age it just doesn't suit her. It's awkward to see her giving all those expression and being nonsensical.
Prithviraj, who has made debut in Bollywood with this film had literally nothing to do much but he has done justice with whatever time he had on screen plus the superb dancing and body.
Songs of the film, Aga Bai and Dreamum Wakeupum have already made much stir among fans.
