Alex Reid denies calling off wedding to Chantelle Houghton

London, April 30(ANI): Alex Reid has slammed reports that claimed that he has called off his wedding to pregnant fiancee Chantelle Houghton.

The cagefighter took to his Twitter page to defend himself after it was suggested that he had put a stop to their nuptials because her friends were interfering too much in their relationship.

The Sun reported that Reid said he didn't want to marry Chantelle, who is due to give birth to their first child this summer, because of her pals 'poking their noses' in.

A source told the paper that the kickboxer had told a friend: "I've told Chantelle I'm not marrying her when things are like this. Friends keep pushing her to say things about us that aren't true and keep poking their noses into our lives no matter how much it hurts me."

But now the 36-year-old has hit back at the report and took to his Twitter page to deny the story.

"Who evers the source who said Ive called the wedding off, please step forward? Not very nice and how do u think Chantelle will feel?" the Daily Mail quoted him as writing.

He also denied that he'd wished ex-wife Katie Price's new fiancee a sarcastic 'good luck' after the glamour model announced she would be marrying her Argentinean toyboy Leandro Penna.

According to The Sunday Mirror, Reid wished Penna good luck but then added: "You'll need it."

A source told the paper that Reid had told a friend that hearing the news was a "kick in the teeth" and said her third marriage wouldn't last.

They added: "Alex thinks it's a good thing Katie and Leandro talk different languages and don't understand each other because he doubts Leandro would stay long."

But the fighter tweeted again to slam the reports as untrue: "Just had google alert about my comments on KP and Leandro. Well I never did say those things, not even on my radar, and certainly not kick in teeth.

"I really couldn't care less bout my ex or whatever she's doing, and as 4 my Chantelle, I'm totally madly deeply in love with her," he added. (ANI)
