Comedian Rosie O'Donnell fears LiLo could be 'new Whitney Houston'

London, Apr 27 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan, who has been in trouble with the law for years, has Rosie O'Donnell fearing about her well-being.

The 50-year-old comedian spoke out after the actress was signed up to play Elizabeth Taylor in a TV show about her life.

After initially saying she thought the 25-year-old should take some time away from the limelight and her career because she was "not in a place to work", the TV personality has had another public rant about the actress.

This time she brought up the tragic Whitney Houston as a warning of what could happen to Lohan.

"Listen, I'm 50 years old, and watching Whitney Houston's funeral I remember thinking why didn't more people say what they knew. We all knew. When she would not show up to do this show, not show up to my show," the Mirror quoted her as saying on the 'Today' show.

"We watched Being Bobby Brown. It was like watching Sid and Nancy. They were people in the throes of addiction. But all we cared about was the ratings, not that this talented individual, this human being, this mother, this daughter, was worth saving and pulling out of the money market industry and I know only someone can be in control of their own sobriety, but to look at Lindsay Lohan you cannot help but feel for her," she said.

After the first comments, Lohan responded.

"It's funny that someone you don't know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing," Lohan said.

However, she also said she was confident about playing the glamorous screen legend because they'd shared some of the same make up artists and hairdresser.

Despite her concerns for Lindsay's mental health though, Rosie did acknowledge that she's not totally useless.

"I do not think she's untalented. I think she's quite talented," O'Donnell added. (ANI)
