Now, Brazilian hooker sues US Federal Govt. for injury following Columbia sex scandal

Washington , Thu, 26 Apr 2012 ANI

Washington, Apr 26 (ANI): Following the Secret Service scandal in Columbia, a Brazilian prostitute is suing the US Federal Government over an injury in an incident last year by four members of a U.S. security team.

The incident occurred in late 2011 in the city of Brasilia in a car outside a nightclub, when the woman was injured trying to get back into the car, which was occupied by the four members who were disciplined after the incident.

The US State Dept. told Fox News that the woman was reportedly trying to open the door and climb into the moving car when the woman fell and was injured.

According to reports, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that the woman was pushed from the car and that two of the three Marines involved had been demoted.

However, Nuland denied divulging names of the embassy employee with the Marines, who was accused of the injury and was being transferred out of Brazil.

Panetta claimed that the incident has been fully investigated and that the Marines and the embassy staff member have been punished.

"I have no tolerance for that kind of conduct, not here or any place in the world," he declared.

The woman, who identified herself as an victim revealed in an interview that one of the Americans pushed her out of the car, as she tried to hold onto the door, but then fell, hit her head on the ground and passed out.

"I felt my leg burning. I couldn't take it, I let go and I fell underneath the van. I hit my head and I passed out," she claimed.

The incident comes after the revelations of the US Secret Service Agent scandal where agents, who were sent as security, ahead of Obama's visit to a summit to Columbia, got into a dispute with prostitutes over a hotel bill. Out of 12 Secret Service agents and 12 military personnel identified, eight agents have been forced out, while one had his security clearance revoked and three other have been cleared. (ANI)
