'Defiant' JuD backed DPC openly protests against re-opening NATO supply routes

Karachi, Sat, 21 Apr 2012 ANI

Karachi, Apr 21(ANI): The Jamaat-ud- Dawa backed Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) has once again openly staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against the re-opening of NATO supply routes.

Activists of Jamaat-ud- Dawa and proscribed outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba assembled at the Press Club and chanted slogans against the United States and the Pakistan government over the restoration of NATO supplies, The Nation reports.

The DPC leaders condemned the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) suggestions to re-open NATO supply routes.

The leaders denounced the increasing influence of the US, India and Israel in the internal affairs of Pakistan and urged the government to immediately withdraw the decision to re-open the NATO supply routes from Pakistan.

They said that re-opening of NATO supplies would be as par with the providing oxygen to the defeated US and NATO forces in Afghanistan. (ANI)
