Doherty to pen novel on troubled life

London, April 17 (IANS) Rocker Pete Doherty is penning his first novel and taking inspiration from his troubled lifestyle for it.

Doherty has fled his native Britain and now lives in Paris, after years of controversy surrounding his drug addiction and former romance with supermodel Kate Moss. Now he is set to tell his story through his novel, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"It's about an English guy who's chased out of England. He's a bit like an old 20 pounds note, a bit crumpled and glorious. Slightly out of date," said Doherty.
