Boxer Bruno 'recharging batteries', assures fans saying he is ok

London, Apr 16 (ANI): Boxing icon Frank Bruno has reassured fans he doing fine and is merely "recharging the batteries" after checking into a clinic.

Amid reports that his bipolar disorder had resurfaced, the fighter sparked fears for his health after he was admitted to a treatment centre, but Bruno insisted that he voluntarily entered the private hospital to rest after suffering from exhaustion, the Daily Express reports.

"I'm recharging the batteries. The mobile phone needs it, so do I. Thanks 4 (sic) all your good wishes. FB," Bruno wrote in his message addressed to his fans.

Bruno was sectioned under the Mental Health Act and underwent psychological and psychiatric tests before being diagnosed as a bipolar in 2003. (ANI)
