Shahbaz Sharif threatens to drag Zardari on roads

Islamabad, Sat, 17 Mar 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Mar 17 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that he would drag Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on the roads of Karachi, Larkana and Lahore for hatching conspiracies against his province.

Addressing a public gathering on Friday, he said that Islamabad was controlled by 'Ali Baba and 40 thieves' clique who was seeking protection behind the grave of Benazir Bhutto.

Blaming Zardari and his companions for hatching conspiracies against the Punjab government, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that the nation would have to decide whether they would side with such elements or oust them.

"We will not sit idle until the recovery of national wealth from the plunderers, and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani is standing to protect their interests," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.e further urged Gilani to realise the rights of 180 people of the country, insisting that he was siding with 'looters' over the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) issue.

Shahbaz quoted Zardari as saying that the trial of Benazir Bhutto was being conducted, whereas the fact was that he wanted to hide the "looted money behind her grave".

Shahbaz said that instead of saving one person, Gilani should think about 18 crore people of the country and should differentiate between 'thieves' and honest people. (ANI)
