London, Mar 14 (ANI): Prince Harry's globe-trotting has helped raise more than 2million pounds for his children's charity.

African kid's charity 'Sentebale', set up by Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, 46, in memory of his mother, the late Diana, Princess Of Wales, has seen a rise in profits since the royal boosted his worldwide profile.

According to accounts filed at Companies House it made 2.1 million pounds in the year to August 2011, the Daily Star reported.

That is up from just 250,000 pounds in the charity's first year in 2006-7.

Profits are up by 16 percent, with more cash than ever going to help vulnerable children in the kingdom of Lesotho.

A statement with the accounts says costs rose after organisers were forced to cancel the 'Sentebale' polo cup in Dubai because of unrest in the region.

The charity's fundraising was also hit when a polo tournament scheduled for June at Coworth Park, Berks, had to be rearranged.

But more cash has rolled in, as the 27-year-old has become a major royal player on the world stage.

He proved a big hit with his brother Prince William, 29, when they took part in a joint trip to Lesotho in the summer of 2010.

And his recent tour of Brazil and the Caribbean, representing the Queen as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations, has been a sensation.

After a polo match in Brazil on Sunday in aid of the charity he revealed his plan of making Sentebale a global concern.

"It is not just about Lesotho, there are dis-advantaged kids all over the world who have no hope and need help," he had said.

"We hope to expand across the world with the concept being used in -Lesotho."

'Sentebale' means ''forget-me-not'' in Sesotho.

Initially it was criticised for its high administration costs but since then high-powered charity experts have turned the venture around. (ANI)
