Obama campaign launches 2012 NCAA tournament bracket challenge

Chicago, Tue, 13 Mar 2012 ANI

Chicago/Dayton (US), Mar.13 (ANI): President Obama's re-election campaign is hoping to capitalize on March madness with a new online contest.

According to CBS News, the "Obama Bracket Challenge" allows visitors to fill out a bracket for the NCAA men's basketball tournament and see how it stacks up to Mr. Obama's bracket.

In order to enter the challenge, a visitor has to submit his name, email address and ZIP code-giving the Obama campaign an opportunity to expand its contact list.

After submitting a bracket, visitors are urged to "help support Obama in another big match-up" and make a donation.

According to the site, the campaign will publish a list of everyone who does better than Mr. Obama, for "bragging rights," once the tournament is over.

Obama has made his NCAA bracket public every year of his presidency.

Last year, Obama picked all number one seeds to make it to the Final Four.

The president will also once again sit down for an interview during the tournament, this time joined by Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron.

The sports desk of CBS News will interview Obama and Cameron on truTV on March 13 during half-time of a first round game in Dayton, Ohio-the first and only joint interview of the two heads of state during Cameron's visit. (ANI)
