Apart from Manipuri and Kathak, Jayatek takes keen interest in vocal and instrumental music, yoga, painting and drama. She has choreographed many Kathak dance dramas and has performed in numerous concerts.

Jayatek's parents are proud of her involvement with a variety of art forms.

"I am expecting my daughter to become a best dancer in the world," said Toijam Kuber, father.

"We are trying our level best to encourage her in both studies and art forms," said Thoibi Leima, mother.
