Murdered Oz-Indian siblings' dad feared for daughter's safety after break-up with ex lover

Melbourne, Thu, 08 Mar 2012 ANI

Melbourne, Mar 8(ANI): The murdered Indian-origin siblings' father had told police before their deaths that he was worried for his daughter Neelma's safety after her relationship with accused killer Max Sica had hit the rocks, an Australian court has heard.

The Supreme Court in Brisbane also heard Neelma Singh informed police that she had broken up with Sica, but he was trying to get back with her and added that he had been suffering from a brain tumour, The Courier Mail reports.

The court had earlier heard Sica and Vijay Singh had a violent confrontation at the Singh's home on November 22, 2002.

Detective Det Boorman recalled how Neelma's father,Vijay Singh had wanted to continue the assault charge and expressed concerns about Sica continuing to contact Neelma.

He had given his private mobile phone number to Vijay Singh so that he could contact him in case of any problems.

Sica, 41, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Neelma Singh, 24, Kunal Singh, 18, and Sidhi Singh, 12, at Bridgeman Downs, in Brisbane's north, on April 21, 2003.

The trial before Justice John Byrne continues. (ANI)
