Navy identifies ship that caused death of two fishermen off Kerala coast

Chennai, Mar 3 (ANI): Union Shipping Minister G. K. Vasan on Saturday said the vessel that collided with a fishing boat killing two fishermen off the coast of Kerala has been identified and is being brought to the port.

 

"I was told yesterday that they (Coast Guard and Navy) have identified a ship and the ship is being brought to the port and I am sure further investigations, after the ship comes to the port, will definitely reveal the fact of the matter and the guilty will be punished accordingly," said Vasan.

 

Two fishermen were killed, two injured and three went missing after a ship collided with a fishing boat in early hours of Thursday in Alappuzha.

 

The Coast Guard and Indian Navy officials had jointly undertaken the search and rescue operation. (ANI)
