Australia's Mr. Cricket Mike Hussey thinks brother David deserves the 'Baggy Green'

Brisbane , Sat, 03 Mar 2012 ANI

Brisbane, Mar. 3 (ANI): Australia's Mr. Cricket Mike Hussey thinks brother David now deserves the 'Baggy Green', given the awesome form he has been in first class cricket, Twenty20 and the Commonwealth Bank series.

David Hussey has scored 412 runs in the one-day series at an average of 82.40, and Mike Hussey, who often had to be separated from David by their parents during backyard cricket brawls, now says that he is enjoying watching the latter play to his potential.

"I think he has proved to himself and people around the world say that he is good enough for the international level. I think he is cementing his spot in the one-day side ,but I know he still has a burning desire to play Test cricket," Fox Sports quoted Mike Hussey, as saying.

He further said that acquiring the "Baggy Green" has become a sort of an obsession for David.

"I would love to see him get that opportunity. To play side by side (in Tests), that would be awesome, but we will see how we go," Mike said.

Recalling the backyard cricket games, Mike said for David, cheating was high on his agenda.

"He learned a few dirty tactics right from the word go," Mike said. (ANI)
