Ex-Karnataka minister Reddy remanded to CBI custody till Mar. 12 in illegal mining case

Bangalore, Mar 2 (ANI): Former Karnataka Tourism Minister and mining baron G. Janardhan Reddy was today remanded to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody till March 12 in connection with an illegal mining case.

 

Additional Civil and Sessions Court Judge B M Angadi remanded Reddy to custody after the CBI moved an application in this regard.

 

Reddy, who is facing charges along with 20 others over the alleged involvement in the illegal mining scam, was produced before a CBI court here this morning amid tight security arrangements.

 

The CBI had filed an FIR against them in October last year in connection with illegal mining activities allegedly through Associated Mining Company and Deccan Mining Syndicate. (ANI)
