14 to 17 army soldiers feared dead in J-K avalanches

Srinagar, Feb.23 (ANI): Abourt 14 to 17 army soldiers are reported trapped or dead after snow-propelled avalanches hit several districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.


Of the seventeen, 14 were feared trapped or dead in Gurez. Three other army men were reported dead in Sonmarg.


Media reports said that some of the bodies have been recovered.


The death toll is expected to rise in both incidents. (ANI)
