Birmingham draw sparks 'mutiny' in Chelsea dressing room

London, Sun, 19 Feb 2012 ANI

London, Feb 19(ANI): Chelsea's draw against championship side Birmingham City at home in the fifth-round of the FA Cup has sparked off speculations of a mutiny in the dressing room.

Under pressure Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has rejected fresh reports that Didier Drogba took the half-time team talk during the match at Stamford Bridge.e denied speculation of Drogba's influence as 'ridiculous' and said: "I have nothing to say on that because it makes no sense at all."

But Villas-Boas admitted that Fernando Torres watched the second half from the dressing room after being hauled off for Drogba at half time.

"I'm sure that he didn't take it lightly but it's a decision for the benefit of the team," The Sun quoted Villas-Boas, as saying.

The Blues will next travel to Napoli this week for the first-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, with reports suggesting that Villas-Boas will be sacked if they fail to progress.

However, Villas-Boas said that the result against Napoli over the two legs would have any influence on his future as Chelsea boss.

"No, not at all. It's not up to me to decide that. You have to ask that question to the right person," he said. (ANI)
