Fresh snowfall gives Manali tourism a boost

Manali, Feb 9 (ANI): The tourism and hospitality sectors in Himachal Pradesh is likely to get a boost after fresh snowfall enveloped the states's Manali region this week.

 

Even as the weather department predicts more snow and reain in the next 24 hours, tourists have welcomed the change in weather in this picturesque locale.

 

Vivek Sethi, a tourist from Delhi, said he was mesmerized with the breathtaking views of the town after the snowfall.

 

"This snowing has enhanced the experience of Manali many folds. More and more tourists should come and experience the snowfall. The beauty of this place in snow is not less than any other place in the world. This is my first visit to Manali and I am pleased that there is heavy snow," said Sethi.

 

Manali is known for the gorgeous Solang Valley that is located between the Beas Kund and Solang Valley. Tourists from across the country often make a beeline for the popular "Snow Points" for skiing and enjoying a ride on a 300-meter high sky lift.

 

During winter, the Manali mountaineering institute gives fresher and special training in skiing, besides promoting other adventure sports. (ANI)
