Will join politics if I think I can make a difference in peoples' lives: Robert Vadra

Rae Bareli (Uttar Pradesh), Mon, 06 Feb 2012 ANI

Rae Bareli (Uttar Pradesh): Robert Vadra, the brother-in-law of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, on Monday said he would consider joining active politics if he thought he could make a difference to peoples' lives.

"I am here for my brother-in-law. For me, politics will come if I think I can make a difference for the people," Vadra said.

He added that any decision on joining politics would be determined by his level of focus and his ability to give off his best for the cause of socio-economic development of the people.

"I am totally enjoying what I am doing right now. The family I married into is in politics. It's something I cannot run away from. When the time is right, if it is what is required at that time, maybe yes, but my focus is on my work right now," said Vadra while campaigning in Rae Bareli.

Vadra said Rahul Gandhi's focus was on development right now and added that he was working at the grassroot level.
