London, Feb 2 (ANI): 'Game Change', which has an all-star cast, narrates the story of Republican John McCain's failed 2008 presidential campaign through the lens of the then unknown Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Palin is shown as a woman desperate to do whatever it takes to rise above the relative anonymity of life in Alaska. And poor John McCain is left wondering what exactly he's gotten himself into.
Starring Ed Harris as the Republican war-hero and Julianne Moore as a near double for Palin, the HBO movie tells the story of how McCain's advisers helped picked the former Alaska governor to share the ticket before subsequently having second thoughts after the vice-presidential candidate appeared to suffer in the media spotlight.
Based on the book of the same name, which looks at the momentous 2008 campaign in its entirety as Democrat Barack Obama rose to become the first black president of the United States, the film 'Game Change' centres on the events surrounding Sarah Palin's rise from obscurity to national prominence.
The newly-released trailer of the movie shows Palin claiming that Russia can be seen from Alaska as Woody Harrelson, who plays McCain adviser Steven Schmidt, quips "oh my God, what have we done?"
"I'm single-handedly carrying this campaign. I'm going to do what I want," the New York Daily quoted Palin as saying at one point in the movie.
The film is scheduled to premiere in the US on March 10 on HBO. (ANI)
