Wade, Forrest in Oz ODI squad for tri-series against India, Lanka, Haddin, Marsh rested

Melbourne, Jan 30(ANI): Victoria wicketkeeper Matthew Wade and former New South Wales batsman Peter Forrest have been named in the 14- member squad for upcoming tri-series against India and Sri Lanka while out-of form Brad Haddin and Shaun Marsh have been rested.

"Brad Haddin has come off a heavy program of Test cricket. The workload for a wicketkeeper/batsman is rigorous and resting him for the start of the series will refresh him for coming international commitments while also giving us a chance to look at Matt Wade at this level," The Sydney Morning Herlad quoted Cricket Australia's chief selector John Inverarity, as saying.

Wade, who made his debut in Twenty20 matches against South Africa, has been named for the short format of the game as well against India.

Under fire Test batsman Shaun Marsh, who made just 17 runs over six Test innings in the 4-0 series win over India, has been dropped and will look to regain his touch in the Sheffield Shield.

"Shaun Marsh is obviously disappointed with his own form in recent weeks and is out of the side but remains in our thinking for the future while he works at state level. As they say, class is permanent but form can be temporary," Inverarity added.

While injury-plagued allrounder Shane Watson is still on the sidelines, David Hussey and Brett Lee have regained their berths in the squad.

Xavier Doherty is the squad's only spinner, while Lee, Mitch Starc, Clint McKay, and Ryan Harris will lead the pace attack.

Mitchell Marsh has also been picked in the ODI squad, but he will miss the first two matches to play a Shield game against Queensland.
