BJP leader, Om Prakash Singh, while addressing the mediapersons about the main points of the manifesto said: "The government will form a commission to probe the scams that had taken place during the rule of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Action will be taken against those who are found guilty by the commission and their properties will be seized," he said.

Singh also added that if voted to power his party would ensure that a state ombudsman would be endowed with more powers.

"The Bharatiya Janata Party will increase the powers of the Lokayukta and will make it stronger. Arrangements will be made so that the Lokayukta can initiate proceedings against the public servants. The Chief Minister will also be brought under the purview of the Lokayukta. We shall take such steps to establish good governance," added Singh.

The BJP leader stated that there was need to introduce agricultural reforms and they would prepare a separate budget for the agriculture sector in the state.
