De La Hoya should apologize for taking advantage of me, says model

New York, Jan 26 (ANI): The model who accused Oscar De La Hoya for assaulting her, says the boxer "should apologize" and that he took advantage of her in every way possible.

In a news conference outside a Manhattan courthouse, Angelica Marie Cecora went on the offensive against De La Hoya prior to a hearing on the case.

"I believe he should apologize," the New York Post quoted Cecora as saying.

According to reports, Cecora, 25, claimed the boxer assaulted her during what she described as a kinky, drug-fueled hotel romp last March at The Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South.

Cecora is suing the fight for assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

"He came across as a very genuine person when I met him ... but things got out of control.

"He took advantage of me in every way possible," she said.

De La Hoya's lawyers will be in Manhattan Supreme Court to argue on their motion to have the case dismissed.

But Cecora's lawyer Tony Evans accused the boxer of trying to "cover up" the incident.

Evans will argue his own motion before the judge to have the boxer's lawyer Judd Burstein removed from the case because he is a potential witness. (ANI)
