Naga martial arts rocks 'India's Got Talent' show

Kohima, Jan 24 (ANI): Be it India's Got Talent, Dance India Dance or Indian Idol, northeast youth can be seen participating at every national level talent show. They are not just making their presence felt, but giving a tough fight to their competitors in the hope of showing a title.

 

Recently, a naga martial arts team made its to the semifinals of India's Got alent season 3.

 

It was a remarkable run for the Naga martial arts performers. Their magic footwork floored everyone, from the jury to the audience and, proved that Naga youth are second to none in talent.

 

They performed under the banner of "Faith in Action" and were among the last four contenders out of 48. Spearheaded by Deep Kumar, the group lost to a dancer in the final vote out.

 

But what they won was the recognition of people across the country.

 

"As an instructor, I will say never give up. If you have dreams and patience, success will come," said Kumar.

 

"It is a privilege to be part of India's Got Talent and, it is very interesting. I got to learn many things through this competition and there has been a lot of improvement in my performance and it has helped to build my confidence," said Hosheto, a member of Faith In Action.

 

Faith in Action started as a martial arts training academy in Dimapur in 2009.t also focuses on spreading awareness about issues like drug abuse, alcohol, crime, and terrorism and promotes peace and harmony through martial arts.

 

With loads of talent and competitive spirit, many northeast youth have successfully won national level talent shows.

 

The Shillong Chamber Choir, a musical group from Shillong, Jeetumoni Kalita, the dancing sensation, Anamika Choudhary and Deobojit Saha, the singers from Assam, all ruled the hearts of millions through their performances.

 

There success inspires others to achieve similar goals and make their state and country proud at all levels. (ANI)
