Warnie in Twitter bust up with pseudo Qantas account

Melbourne, Mon, 23 Jan 2012 ANI

Melbourne, Jan 23 (ANI): Shane Warne has unleashed another Twitter tirade, this time at a fake Qantas account that poked fun at him.

After the 43-year-old former Australian cricketer's Melbourne Stars were knocked out of the Twenty20 Big Bash in Perth on Saturday night, his flight home on Qantas was cancelled.

"My luck is seriously running out - Qantas just cancelled the flight and no info about how or when we will get back to Melbourne," the herald Sun quoted him as tweeting.

At that moment, @QantasPR hit back, joking about the spin legend's predicament and his recent run-in with a cyclist.

"We've left @warne888 stranded in Perth. Melbourne cyclists, it's now safe to ride your streets," @QantasPR tweeted.

Liz Hurley's fiance seemed to have missed out on the vital information provide by the site about itself. The fake account described itself as "the non-official, official broadcast channel for Australia's national airline".

"I thought you guys were meant to look after Australians, not be sarcastic? You to (sic) often are late, cancel flights and lose luggage," Warne tweeted.

"Lots of people were very frustrated at you guys, AGAIN !!!! who tweets for QantasPR - Think your (sic) going to be in trouble tomorrow.

"Actually your lack of sympathy towards all those passengers you left stranded is quite simply staggering SORRY might help everyone," he said.

Warne soon realised his mistake, as the prankster behind @QantasPR offered an apology and some "First Class pajamas" to make up for the sportsman's missing luggage, which also went missing over the weekend.

He had earlier taken to Twitter to reveal that he has been banned from wearing budgie smugglers by his children and fiancee. (ANI)
