Washington, Jan 18 (ANI): Bo Derek calls herself 'independent' when it comes to political leanings, and says that she voted for Barack Obama in the 2008 elections.
The actress had campaigned for President George H W Bush and President George W Bush, and endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president in 2007.
"People think I'm Republican, I'm independent. I voted for Obama," Politico quoted her as telling The Hollywood Reporter.
She also said that she is not getting swept up in the current elections in the US.
"Right now I'm kind of apathetic to what's going on. I think our country functions pretty well. Certainly will be fine without my contribution," she said. (ANI)
