Hollywood star Wesley Snipes teaching yoga in jail

Nevada (US), Jan 9 (ANI): Hollywood actor-producer Wesley Snipes, who is serving time at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI)-McKean (Pennsylvania, USA), is teaching yoga, according to reports.

Wesley Trent Snipes, 48, is reportedly serving a sentence on tax issues. Reports suggest that he recently requested yoga mats for himself and other inmates. FCI-McKean is a medium security facility housing male inmates. An adjacent satellite prison camp houses minimum security male offenders.

Well known Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has termed it a "step in the right direction".

According to Patanjali, author of the basic text, the Yoga Sutra, yoga is a methodical effort to attain perfection, through the control of the different elements of human nature, physical and psychical, Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, explained. (ANI)
