IITF, Pakistan’s Stall: The prime crowd puller

Nov 24:   India International Trade Fair though creating traffic snarl but the crowds in numbers are enjoying every bit of it. India Trade Promotion Organisation through this fare tries to bring the warmth of many countries in the cold month of November.

This is the 27 th successful year for India organising its biggest fare with global touch from November 14-27. The theme this year is “Processed and Agro Products” with large number of other exhibitor with their bouquet of coir products, jute textiles, garments, household appliance, kitchen appliances, processed food, beverages, confectionery, drugs, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, body care & health care products, telecommunication, power sector, electronic sector, furniture, home furnishings, sports goods, toys, engineering goods, tourism, automobiles etc.

One of the countries dominating the psyche of Indian crowds is Pakistan with its rich embroidered garments, onyx stone artifacts and the aroma of Pakistan through its spices. There was a huge queue near the Pakistan’s Food Court where the avid food lovers waited in line.

Pakistanis garments were at its excellence, the number of women flocking the stall like Zakias collection from Karachi where the embroidery’s name reflected the popularity of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto with Benazir taka, Bhutto taka was a proof in itself. The Gottapatti and phulkari is marvelous and a value for money.

Stylish kurtis with its famed embroidery is popular among the young generation.

The other stalls like Umaida trading, Sania enterprise, Puri fashions are other stalls where you have to wait for your turn to come.

National Foods stall “Friendship through Food” with its recipe book is at its best, design to suit Indian foodies. The complete recipe masala presents the five styles of Pakistani cuisine including Biryani, Tandoori/ Barbecue, Fried Kababs, curries and vegetables.

Quorma, Biryani masala and Sheek kabab masala were a hit among Indian crowds. The most interesting part being that the masalas comes in pack to cater the needs of both vegetarian and non vegetarian.
