Prince faces 1.6-million-euro legal action over Dublin gig no-show

London, Tue, 23 Feb 2010 ANI

London, Feb 23 (ANI): Popstar Prince has been sued for 1.6 million euros over a cancelled concert in Dublin, Ireland.

Promoters MCD are demanding a compensation for financial loss and damage to commercial reputation, as the 'Purple Rain' singer had backed out at the last moment from the Croke Park show in summer 2008.

Fans demanded refunds for the near sell-out June 16 concert, reports The Mirror.

Prince is supposed to appear for the four-day case at Dublin's Commercial Court.

The event had been heavily advertised as the last time Prince would play greatest hits like 'Diamonds and Pearls' and 'Little Red Corvette' in Ireland. (ANI)
