Catholics have invited Hindu leader Rajan Zed, the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, for an interfaith dialogue. He has been invited to attend the Diocesan Ecumenical Interreligious Commission meeting of Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento schedule for November 18.

Most Reverend William Keith Weigand, Bishop of Sacramento Diocese, in a letter to Zed, wrote, “With God’s help, we can all work for understanding through dialogue so that all faiths may proclaim their message in peace, freedom and non-violence.”

Moreover, Seventh-day Adventist Church has also invited Zed to its world headquarters in Maryland (USA) and meet its leaders; Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America invited him for Unity Walk in Washington DC; Church of Scientology International has expressed interest in working with him on interfaith issues.

Zed has been invited to formally inaugurate and bless the Christian church named Unity Church of Today; he visited Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints headquarters in Salt Lake City and discussed similarities with a senior Church leader; Catholic Diocese of Reno awarded him a special certificate for “vibrant interfaith communication”; he was honoured by Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada for “his courage and his vision of world community”; and Unity Church also honoured him.

Zed is one of the spiritual advisors of National Association of Interchurch and Interfaith Families and Director of Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association.
