Talhati/ Sarsai Navar (UP), Dec 26 (ANI): Two temples devoted to Lord Shiva in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh boast of a rare phenomenon.

One of the temples, situated at Talhati has a natural formation on its protruding stone, almost in the shape of India's geophysical map.

Another temple at Sarsai Navar also located in Etawah has over 1,000 Shivalingams within its premises.

According to Harsh Kumar Tiwari, a priest at Talhati temple, this is an unusual Shivalingam and the formation of India's map is a natural phenomenon.

"Devotees who come here to worship say that there is India's map depicted on the Shivalingam here as such this is a divine and different Shivalingam," he added.

For the ardent devotees of Lord Shiva, the temple at Sarsai Nagar could be regarded as haven since there are over 1000 Shivalingams. This temple is highly revered by devotees.

"This temple has thousand Shivalingams and one is the main Shivalingam. Several politicians and ministers come here to offer prayers and seek his blessings," said Mahant Shiya Ramdas, priest at Shiva temple, Sarsai Nagar.

Devotees come from far off places to offer prayers since it is believed that the deities at this temple possess good powers.

"I have come to this temple to offer prayers so that I can score good marks in my examinations," saying Vikesh Kumar, a devotee. (ANI)
