Shillong, Dec 22 (ANI): Shillong recently played host to the Family Music Concert to hail the arrival of Christmas.
The concert was organised under the banner of the Society for Promotion of Peace and Friendship at the marvellous square of the Cathedral Church premises.
Prominent musicians of the Shillong, which is also known as Scotland of the East along with famous drummer Kenny Hogan from Singapore enthralled the audience with their spectacular performances.
A good number of carols and devotional songs marked the occasion, supplemented by lively rock music. On the cards were solo, duet and choir performances.
"In Shillong people love music. I think the best way to reach to all the people, to all sections of people is through music. So we planned and we thought that this is the best way of spreading the message of Christ, the message of love peace and friendship," said Pius Shadap, organizer of Family Music Concert, Shillong.
Kenny Hogan candidly admitted that he was elated to perform in Shillong.I think it's very vibrant and....it is very vibrant and people are very lively here and it is very very warm feeling," added Hogan.
Among the prominent local artistes who took part in this concert were Rudy Wallang, Mary Pohrmen, David Jamir, besides the bands of Felixis and Abdiel.(ANI)
