Manhunt launched for nine terrorists in Kashmir's Pampore region

Pampore (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct.7 (ANI): A red alert has been sounded across in Jammu and Kashmir for the nine or ten militants engaging security forces in forests near the Pampore region of the state.

 

The Army has launched a massive hunt for the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives. According to security forces one of the ten militants has been killed and a search is on for the nine others.

 

On Wednesday, two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.

 

Acting on a tip off, police assisted by army cordoned off Satkoji near Zachaldara, 80 kms from here, and opened retaliatory fire on the militants.

 

A search operation is still going on in the area, they said. (ANI)
