Spread on 337 acres of land, the campus of the centre has a capacity to educate 14,000 students.

"This visit is giving me the opportunity to bunk my school politics for a few hours. And after I have done a tour of this campus and admire its beautiful facilities, the buildings, the environment, the trees, the flowers, I honestly want to say that I wish I could bunk a few days here with you all," said Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi also planted a sapling after inaugurating the global education centre.

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Infosys chief mentor N R Narayana Murthy, and chief executive S Gopalakrishnan were also present in the occasion. (ANI)
